Who we are

I started Nikkis Pup Parade as a single mom of a 13-year-old daughter (who thinks she runs the show), pockets full of worry, head stuffed with ideas, Between middle school drama (my daughter), late-night social work homework, and a heartbeat that said “leashes, not layoffs,” I swapped the safety net for squeaky toys and slobbery kisses.

Some mornings were glorious chaos: three dogs, a rainstorm, and me trying to remember which one hates puddles. Other days were down-to-the-wire—teenage expenses, a nearly empty bank account, and wondering if rent would actually happen. But the people side? That’s where the magic lived. I listened, (really listened) to owners’ stories about their pups, then let those stories shape the way I walk, care, and create.

I built routines, learned every wag and whine, and turned frantic schedules into a system that worked. I set up services that felt like a warm hug and a goofy dance: reliable walks, attentive drop-ins, goofy playtime, and custom care plans that respected each family’s quirks.

Why it matters: pets are family. They deserve care that’s rooted in empathy, humor, and a genuine love for the messy, wonderful parts of life. From soggy leashes to celebratory tail wags, Nikkis Pup Parade grew from real-life hustle and a stubborn belief that a little kindness (and maybe a treat or two) goes a very long way.
